These flags, are fixed in place by keeping the windows closed. Therefore, passengers, in midsummer, will not be able to open the window if they wish. The only window you never see a flag flying from is the drivers window. Not hard to figure out why, is it? Maybe councils should allow them to be flown from the drivers window ONLY? |

Even WITH air-con, how would you stop a passenger opening the window? Is it legal to deny them an opening window? And I do not need air-con around my parts, thank you very much!!!

opening a window reminds me of something that happened few years ago, the driver is now well retired It was a freezing cold night, the black cab sat ticking over as first cab on the rank, the driver enjoying his pipe A lady comes to the cab and gets in, she says to the driver, "your not smoking that thing are you, I like fresh air", the driver gets out of the cab without a word, openes both side windows on the black cab, gets back in his drivers seat, closes the communication window and his drivers window, hoisted up his heater, still sucking and blowing on his pipe, away they go at the end of the journey the woman was frozen stiff, but never complained well she did insist that she liked fresh air. |

a lot of people at night abuse the use of windows f ing about with the switch, up and down, up and down, hey look at this lads leccy windows hanging out the window and passing remarks to people in the street, a good way to get your cab door kicked in by the other party I retain tight control over windows for these purposes, anyway who wants to breathe in car fumes all night in the city. |

I am personally sick of the sight of the damn things. It instantly says "chav on board" to me. The World Cup hasn't even started yet, and it seems like for months they have been flying on, (and off!) cars. If they were only flown on match days, they would have been a terrific visual impact. And as for the St. George's crosses you see with "ENGLAND" printed on them, don't the wuckfits know which is their flag without this helpful hint printed on it? |

So jimbo, given that that allowing flags on vehicle seemed to be considered as a victory for common sense, presumably you think the emphasis is on the 'common' rather than the 'sense'?
