This tweet is now the subject of an article in the Oxford Mail, but probably just as well to view the video directly. And the courier has reported the driver to the council :?

Driver certainly a bit impatient, and manoeuvre a bit rash, but can't really see any direct danger to the courier or other road users, except if a car or cyclist had come out of the junction unexpectedly.

And, I mean, check out the cyclist who recklessly overtakes so close to the bus...

Possibly the most bizarre thing about it all, though, is that the courier isn't wearing a helmet, and the firm claims that their 'risk assessment' means it's not required for their work :-o

Incidentally, and for what it's worth, the bikes are a bit bulkier than the normal courier scenario:

Didn't think he was that close and isn't it the law that cyclists are supposed to pull in to leave room for cars to over take

In my view it's got nothing to do with the council.

It's a police matter, and they will deal with it, or not, as the case may be.

Once the police have dealt with it then the council can act on what actions the police have taken, or not.

Licensing officers are not trained in the rights and wrongs of driving, that's why parliament has given the police the powers.

As for the incident, well I can't see anything wrong.

Other than maybe the cyclist nearly hitting the pedestrians as he pulled away from the lights.

That is not a cycle but is a 3 wheeled goods vehicle.

If it's pedalled i.e. non motorised it's a cycle whether its a mono(cycle) Bi(cycle) or tri(cycle)

and he was riding more or less in the middle of the road
