Man charged over stabbing and robbery of taxi driver in Ramsgate

A man charged over a violent brawl in Ramsgate at the weekend has now also been charged with stabbing and robbing a taxi driver on Friday (March 24) night.

Jack Bamford, 21, of no fixed address was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, grievous bodily harm and affray and with a number of other unrelated offences following his arrest in connection with a fight which broke out at M&M kebab shop in the early hours of Saturday (March 25).

He has now been charged in connection with the assault on the taxi driver in Ramsgate on Friday evening.

The assault happened at around 11.20pm in Margate Road. The victim reported being robbed by a passenger of money and suffered stab injuries. The injures are not life threatening.

Mr Bamford has been charged with robbery, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.

He will appear, alongside three others charged with the M&M’s incident, at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.

Those defendants are:

Finley Goldsmith, 19, from Park Road, was later charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
Samuel Giles, 21, from Bradley Road, was charged with affray, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
Alfie Mason, 19, from Queensgate Road, was charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
