dundee taxi drivers had to renew their badges this year,the council have come up with a new condition ,all operators must do a round the car check before starting their shift,they must also tick off the checklist below and make the checklist available to council/police etc,the chechlist must be kept for 1 year.drivers before starting their shift mus check to see the forst drive has filled in the checlist, |

I don’t think anyone (even the police!) check tyre pressures daily. Yes, if your vehicle has the TPM system fitted it easy but even then I don’t check it daily. The system will flag up a fault if a tyre does drop below a certain threshold though, I think it’s around five psi or in Mercedes case, thirty five KPA. |

What really annoys me about this policy is that every councillor who passed it, and every licensing officer who dreamt it up, knows full well that every driver will not comply with it. The legal term for this is 'setting up to fail', and the courts hate it. |
