Interesting Speech today.

Especially the bit about Public transport matters being delegated to Local Council level.

Wonder what he means.

Its simple JIMBO,

He knows that regionalisation of public transport has been arsed up and wants the best people possible to sort it out ................ local councils working for local people's needs.

Anyone with half a brain must surely agree.

Gordon Brown

A man was coming home from work one day. He noticed that there was a lot more traffic than normal. As he got further up the road all of the traffic had come to a halt. He saw a policeman coming towards his car, so he asked him what was wrong. The cop said, "We are in a crisis situation. Gordon Brown is in the road very upset. He does not have the £10 billion needed to fill his black hole, and everyone hates him. He is threatening to douse himself in petrol and start a fire." The man asked the police officer exactly what he was doing there." The bobby said, " I feel sorry for the Chancellor so I am going car to car asking for donations." The man asked, "How much do you have so far?" The bobby replied, "Well as of right now only 99 litres, but many people are still siphoning as we speak!"

Son: Dad, I have to do a special report for school. Can I ask you a question?
Father: Sure, son. What’s the question?
Son: What is politics?
Father: Well, let’s take our home for example. I am the wage earner, so let’s call me “Tony Blair.” Your mother is the administrator of money, so we’ll call her “Gordon Brown.” We take care of your needs, so we’ll call you “the People.” We’ll call the maid “the Working Class,” and your baby brother we can call “the Future.” Do you understand, son?
Son: I’m not really sure, Dad. I’ll have to think about it.

That night, awakened by his baby brother’s crying, the boy went to see what was wrong. Discovering that the baby had seriously soiled his diaper, the boy went to his parents’ room and found his mother sound asleep. He went to the maid’s room where, peeking through the keyhole, he saw his father in bed with the maid. The boy’s knocking went totally unheeded by his father and the maid, so the boy returned to his room and went back to sleep. The next morning he reported to his father.
Son: Dad, now I think I understand what politics is.
Father: Good, son! Can you explain it to me in your own words?
Son: Well, dad, while Tony Blair is screwing the Working Class, Gordon Brown is sound asleep, the People are being completely ignored and the Future is full of [edited by admin].

The bad news is Gordon Brown will be the next PM.

The good news is that he will only have two years at best.

How you can have an MP/PM that votes on many many issues that have f*** all to do with his local voter I don't know. [-X
