What gear box would any of you prefer, man or auto in saloon cabs, and what one is the best and gives less problems :?: :?: :?:

Defo a manual man.

I know autos are good, but I would be forever wondering how much it's going to cost when it goes wrong. eusasmiles.zip

. . . . and a good deal for your back pocket as well?

Hope your accounts are up to scratch Terry, the Customs and excise are getting better and better.

I would hate to see you banged up for tax evasion.

Auto anytime, no leg ache, those using clutches don't you find that as the shift moves through the hours the clutch pedal gets harder

been on Auto for 14 years now, sometimes when my son comes up to my house I may have to shift his manual box car to get out, what a ball ache

A few drivers at my firm have got the passat autos and they have had no problems with them, bloody juicy though. I like a manual, less to go wrong, unless you by hyundai!.

Currently driving a manual because I have to (us poor lowly "office cars" get no choice ya know!) Prefer an auto any day - a couple of years ago I had a Scorpio 2.3 petrol Scorpio and it was heaven   just glad I wasn't picking up the fuel bill!

Have to agree on the clutch bit - driving a TX11 and it gets pretty painful after about 100 miles or so; the pain does ease after about 250 miles and after that I couldn't care less
