Looks like another rip off at the airport, read the detail and it would seem they are having a go at PH which will include any HC that is not PAYING to the airport. Of course they blame it on security, what a load of rubbish

It'll just make it busier at the BP station opposite with fares walking accross, to be honest the 10min free was a waste of time anyway, by the time you get to the crossing to pick up you have to rush to queue up to get out before the 10mins expired. You only need one dummy forgetting to pay at the machine in the terminal and holding everyone up and we pay anyway.
£1.80 on the fare isnt to bad i suppose, but it'd be better in my pocket!

Agreed it's a flaming disgrace, Manchester city council own 55% of the airport with the other nine Greater manchester Councils owning 5% each, all have a seat on the board and how do they represent their constituents?, they don't, get stuck in to your local council and ask them in which way they represent you on the airport board, rant over

Do as we do, ask customers to ring as soon as they land, before they go to the carousel for their luggage, then direct them to the departure area and meet them there, there is no restriction in departures, pick up and gone with no problems

WAS a good idea Road Runner, but they are going to stop that. They are having new "Customer Service" people on duty to make sure you only drop and go. They are having a barrier on the pickup lanes so you will have no choice but to pay and you will not get thro in 30mins so have to pay an hour. They are also going to make sure you cannot wait and/or pickup anywhere else using the "security"and "safety" excuse.
