Spoke to my licensing official last week and they have applied to run 5/6-seater wheel-chair acceptable tuk tuks.

Has anyone seen one?

To a degree the Tuk Tuk are now trying to run a service not that far from the type of service the 16 seater limos are.

But I've got a funny feeling in my blood that the B&H taxi/PH trade wont let them succeed.

Frances Burton, chair of the tribunal, commented in her ruling: "We are however concerned at the conduct of the public inquiry which permitted party status to known hostile competition to both the concept and the actual operation of the Appellant's company's service, namely the taxi company lobby."

I don't think the size of the fine really matters, what does matter is that this outfit has one black mark against its name in respect of not keeping to timetables. The traffic commissioner won't allow many more incidents of this nature before it revokes the operators license.

When this mob return down here they will be running on Flexi-bus licences and they won't have to stick to time tables. :sad
