4x4 Tax I own 2, X5`s which is PH I hate the thought of tax being £400.00 but if that happens. I will pay very Be-grudgingly. But I also have 3 Jap 4x4 Preva looking things, as we are in the countryside we use as Taxis. Will the tax go up on these?we also have 4x4 cars that are PH & a transit 4x4 will these be hit by big tax?
If all the tax goes up i will be looking at over £3000 just for tax
Don`t you just love the Chancellor.
What I would like to know does this put the big 4x4 limousines like hummers etc? Up to £400.00 or are this going to stay the same as an astra car 1.6 £165.00 a year when an astra Weights 1,350kg a big hummer weights up to 18,500lbs? Over A 6litre engine?
Any one have any ideas as if I have to pay £400.00 & you people with a small 4x4 I'm sure that these big limousines should pays the same?
Would you not all agree?
this is not a hit at the limo trade as i have them as well but would like to know where we will stand?
A standard H2 Hummer weights just under 9000lbs =4 ton 200"x 29lb = 5800 this for the big hummers so 14,800= 6.5 ton empty 17 people x 95kg About 14 stone in weigh = kg 1,615 but i would say most are 16-18 stone= kg 1,900 So with 17 people plus the truck would weight about 8,115 tons So sorry Darren I stand corrected it not 13.5 ton as a Standard 200" Hummer But by the time all the toys are added it's not far off 13.5

Funny how it's "leaked" that so called gas guzzlers tax will be doubled to £400. My bet is that it will rise to £300, and everyone who owns a thirsty vehicle, including Black Cab owners, incidentally, will breathe a sigh of relief. It's the dark art of the spin doctor. Some call him Stalin.

limousine driver Quote: big hummer weights up to 13,500kg
How much do they way ?
Try under 6000kg FULLY loaded or GVW! and yes it will affect them re £400 Although it would depend how they were registered and under which catergory? |

Your Hummer weights are completely wrong ! 200" Hummer weighs 4750 to 5000 kg , I know im the biggest S6 conversion specialist in EUROPE!! Ask Eddie or Neil at A1 stretch who knows about Hummer weights etc. The passenger weight is levelled at 65kg per person (re PSV Regs) 16 passengers = 1040 + driver 65kg = 1105+ Hummer = 61105kg,s. Maybe you should work for VOSA limousines driver , because they dont understand either! The tri-axle enterprise limo which is the biggest outside the U.S still weighs below 7.5T By the way a standard H2 hummer pre stretched weighs 2909kgs! click below , go to H2 then specs and dimensions its all there! http://www.hummer.com/hummerjsp/home.jsp |
