Having just returned from New York I was surprised that nobody had metioned about the"Auction" that the Taxi & Limousine Commission of New York had just held,they auctioned off 300 medalions(plates) on Friday
the total income for NYC was $37,000,000 ,not a bad days work!!!.The highest price paid was $311,111.How long before our Councils realise that instead of issuing plates to people who sell them straight on,the council might as well sell them and collect the income themselves?
