| Post subject: | dundee,s new plate renewal form |
just got my plate renewal form today and now understand all the panic going on in dundee, the old forms were very simple (name adress plate no, any convictions)the new forms are going to cause a lot of finacial up set in dundee, the first page asks name/adress/date of birth, then asks ni no , followed by inland revenue unique tax reference no, it then asks commencenent date and is it current name of next of kin is then required along with adresses you have lived at if your present adress has been less than three years page 2 is for companys/partnerships and again asks for tax reference nos page3 asks (if anyone else will be using your car for financial gain either to themselves or to you as the operator of the vehicle please enter their details below) it then has five boxes for drivers names.adresses page 4 convictions page 5 is the interesting one data protection followed in darkened writing(please read this declaration carefully before you sign it and date it, we must protect the public funds we handle and so we will carry out checks against dundee city councils and the department for work and pensions benefit records in order to check the accuracy of the information to prevent or detect crime or protect public funds in other ways as allowed by law) below that again in dark letters it reads(further to the above the information you provide and any expected income you may gain from operating a taxi or taxi buisness will be used to maximise the recovery of any debt owed to the council)(council tax) the last bit the deceration reads (i declare that the infomation i have given on this form is correct and complete, that i will advise you of any other changes to the above and that i agree to this information being used for benefit fraud checks as determined necessary to the council) there is a £500 fine for false info plus applications without tax ,ni nos will not be accepted, cant wait till 31st of may |

It's the way things are going.
But as with CCTV, if people have got nothing to worry about, well then they have got nothing to worry about. And if they have, then best they change their ways.

It will not take the crooks long to figure a way to bribe a clerk who is probaly on minimum wage. |

I got the Interested Parties List (IPL) from Cooncil HQ after they refused to give me it. I just walked into the office and asked for it…and as if by magic there it was.
