TPI the outfit that employed a Plymouth employment agency who in turn falsified documentation relating to a non existent taxi questionnaire in Plymouth, has yet again come up with a prize survey in Halifax, who incidentally has one of the highest plate values in the country. I'm wondering to which employment agency TPI farmed out the task of gathering their recent offering of data? Considering their track record its no surprise that they came up with the prize statement that "more wheelchair accesible vehicles are needed" I suppose that isn't too surprising when you consider the vast majority of hackney carriages are saloons.

Wheelchair friendly cabs are needed
COUNCILLORS are pushing for taxis to be more disabled-friendly.
The council's licensing committee listened to a presentation by Transport Planning International, of Leeds, at Halifax Town Hall.
The report for Calderdale Council involved speaking to 1,000 passengers and monitoring 5,600 cab departures.
The survey found that more than 400 people would like to see more wheelchair-accessible cabs.
Councillor Olwen Jennings (Lib Dem, Todmorden), said: "It is important all vehicles are wheelchair-accessible and that drivers know how to transport wheelchair users.
"Drivers need more training on being public aware."
Project manager Paul McKee said: "There is no reason why a fully wheelchair accesible fleet should not extend to all zones in Calderdale and this should be applicable within the next two years or immediately if possible."
The report also found that passengers waited less than 10 seconds for a hackney carriage and vehicles have to queue for just over 11 minutes for a passenger.
It also said the 37 vehicles, which work mainly from ranks in Halifax, coped at even the busiest times.
Mr McKee said: "We conclude that there does not exist a significant unmet demand for hackney carriages in Halifax."
A further meeting will be scheduled by the council to make a decison based on the reports.
