With a name like "Roberta Bucktrout" you could be forgiven for thinking this thank you letter is a wind up but don't blame me, I'm only the messenger.

Letter: Thanks to cabbies

From Roberta Bucktrout

LAST Friday night my two daughters were returning home from a night out in Liverpool and left a handbag in the back of their taxi.

They did not have the cab number or any other information and had more or less decided that they would not see this bag again. But thanks to the night driver and then the day man, the bag was returned to our front door, with all the contents, including two passports, a purse, a mobile phone, two sets of house keys and various other things, all present and correct.

The gentleman would not give me his name and would take no form of payment, in fact he apologised for taking so long in returning the bag. If any ECHO readers knows either of these two cabbies I would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to them.

People are very quick these days to criticise our cabbies but in this case, many thanks lads.

Roberta Bucktrout, Liverpool 9

It's not the name that makes me think it's a wind up.
