Typical of the attitudes towards the trade that many people seem to hold especially Journalists councillors and some police who funnily enough don't use taxis often ! If its the cabbies fault blame him if it's got nothing to do with him blame him anyway ! |

No wonder we get a bad name when some pr2ck is allowed to print a headline like that in the local paper[-( . Also... it was a minibus and not a taxi.

Err, I think the point is that he wasn't a driver, he was just a passenger. But he was a man in a taxi, so what's the problem

Had a case like that in Newport Gwent, I had spoken to the guy concerned and his English was perfect. But for the case he needed an interpreter, I think they pull it as a line of defence - Like! I no understand - but he went down. In this topic it would seem that he was not exactly blameless, and as you can see absolute gutter journalism. |

Is it a crime to ASK for sex? |

The actions of the guy is not what this thread is about. It is about the fact that the headline puts the taxi at the centre of the story when in fact the taxi is incidental to it. |

Journalists are human and are prone to mistakes just like everyone else. Write to the Editor explaining your grievance, it’s a long shot but he might publish an apology. Will. |

Will. No! You might get a nice letter side stepping your point of view/issue, but you try getting them to print a retraction.
