Man robbed by taxi driver

A MAN going home from a night out was attacked by a taxi driver.

The victim had been in Manchester and caught a cab back to Warrington in the early hours of Friday.

He told the driver he did not have enough to pay and was taken to a cash machine on Insall Road, close to the town centre.

There the driver and a passenger, who was in the front seat when the victim got in, knocked him to the floor and took his wallet, cash and credit cards.

The driver was Asian, in his early 40s, with receding hair and of medium build. His passenger was Asian, in his 30s, slim, about 5ft 9in with spiky hair.
