What is the current position?

Is the car in your possession, or do LTI still have it?

Have you started legal proceedings?

How much do you think you are out of pocket due to the failures on the vehicle?

And post your site to the councillors on the Liverpool Licensing committee, who are in the process of allowing/refusing the E7.

My Solicitor has been in contact with KPM & Bank Of Scotland both say it is the others problem. Now Instructing a Barrister to progress the matter to court against both parties.

I have to use the vehicle on a daily basis,I consider it un-safe and a danger to passengers but I have no choice ,financial demands of £700 a month finance mean that I can not pay for two vehicles.

I have offered all parties the option to take the vehicle back, cancel my finance agreement, and I will walk away. I will never deal with the sharks at KPM or purchase a new LTI vehicle again.

They have declined this offer saying they would lose money !

So far they have had £8000.00 of my money, this will now be the subject of a court claim plus costs.

I think I wouldbe dealing mainly with the finance company on this. After all it is their money that is at stake.

In law the Finance company and the supplying Dealer have a legal obigation to me. Unfortunately LTI can hide behind the skirts of others.

I have today instructed a Barrister to act on my behalf ,proceedings will now commence and a Court date will be given in due course.

I have reported LTI to VOSA as manufacturing a vehicle with serious defects and not rectifying by re-calling all affected vehicles

I think you are on the right track, and the more you tell about this motor the better.

Have you contacted the LTDA, cos I'm pretty sure they are not fans of LTI?

As for the rest of the trade press I very much doubt they will take up your tale of woe as LTI spend many £1000s of pounds advertising in their mags.

Obviously being self employed and part of the London trade you will have joined a trade representative body to cover yourself for disputes just like this.

You have have'nt you?

I was a member of the LTDA for 2 years but lapsed my membership a few years ago one Xmas when the work got thin.

Perhaps a mistake, but you can`t look back, plus I must ask myself would any of our Trade memberships pursue LTI with as much determination as me.

LTDA were supplied with copies of all correspondence many weeks ago, hoping they may do a feature to warn others.

If the trade mags wont publish a warning take it to the nationals, or watchdog, have you let the PCO know :?:

I have sent it to most daily papers,Watchdog,ITV,"Don`t get done get Dom" ( New tv show) ,Top gear, numerous web sites, and I send correspondence and regular e mails to Mark Fryer,Manganese Bronze.

Needless to say he wont speak to me.When I phone LTI they say they are not allowed to talk to me and put the phone down !

Each Director of Manganese Bronze and LTI have had a file sent to them
of all the faults and a copy of the engineers report, they just refer me to thier T Hattersley,If they came down out of thier Ivory Tower for 5 minutes I am 100% sure they would be disgusted with the faults on my vehicle descibed by Trevor Hattersley as "Inherrant Characteristics"

Believe me I truly think I have explored most avenues in the past 10 months, which is why I am now taking the matter to Court.

Probably not,but I have lodged a formal complaint with VOSA regarding the safety of the TX4, I hope this will result in an official recall to correct all the defects for my fellow Taxi Drivers

I would imagine that for the likes of Watchdog, that would be a really good story.

Mark Fryer,

If you came down out of your Ivory Tower for just 5 minutes I could show you the serious defects on my vehicle,I am 100% sure you would agree with me ,IN FACT I WILL MAKE YOU AN OFFER ,I WILL DRIVE MY VEHICLE TO YOUR OFFICE AT MY EXPENSE,IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ME THAT MY VEHICLE HAS SERIOUS PROBLEMS,I WILL NOT TROUBLE YOU OR LTI AGAIN, AN INTELLIGENT MAN WOULD SEE THIS AS A WAY FORWARD,AND AS A BONUS YOU WOULD ACTUALLY REALISE THAT YOUR CUSTOMER AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT MANAGER HAS HIS HEAD FIRMLY BURIED IN THE SAND.

IF THIS IS TO MUCH TO ASK OF YOU HAVING GIVEN YOU £35000,THE MATTER WILL BE CONCLUDED IN COURT.

THE LINKS BELOW WILL SHOW YOU THAT THIS MATTER IS NOW ATTRACTING NATIONAL INTEREST.
