He would be charged with a number of offences including driving without the correct insurance. Unless he was like our councillor friend from Wales who was testing his brakes.

Remarkable result that case but he must have done an extremely good job of convincing the bench that he was right and the council were wrong. lol I get a kick out him winning because I can't help feeling that in our own little way we contributed to his success. A gentleman was prosecuted for driving a hackney carriage vehicle without a license. He admitted to not having a license but convinced the local magistrates that because he was road testing his own vehicle for mechanical defects he did not need a license, contrary to the road traffic act. I'm glad he won against all odds but I wouldn't bet on lightning striking twice. Regards JD |
