As long as there are illegal cab ranks in Wirral which by all accounts this could well be the case then I can't see the council ever putting the cap back on numbers. ______________________ Liverpool Daily Echo January 23, 2008, Wednesday Woman's sex attack ordeal in bogus taxi A WOMAN was sexually assaulted after getting into a bogus taxi in Birkenhead on New Year's Day. Merseyside Police have now released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to following the incident. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, approached what she believed was a row of taxis on Conway Street at 5am. She got into a Mondeo car and asked if it was a taxi. The driver said it was and she asked him to take her home. She was then driven to an unknown location and subjected to a serious sexual assault. The offender is described as an Asian man, 25-30 years old. __________________________ |
