I have never read such a load of old tosh in my life. 5000 new limos to be imported in the next 12 months!!! 500 drivers at a meeting at Ascot  I doubt that there will be half that number of limos at Ascot and most won't be bothered by a meeting.

These reporters seem to have based practically all of their story on information that has been freely available on the internet for quite some time. The story is practically identical to one we published several months ago but it would appear that the media might at last be realising the severity of unlicensed vehicles operating illegally.

Dan Rosemeyer, a limo operator from South Wales, has spent more than £500,000 in two years on his fleet of seven cars, all of which can carry more than eight people. He believes the Government should never have allowed him to import the cars.

"The whole thing has got way out of proportion," he says. "When I imported my cars the DVLA registered the vehicles when they came into the country, they took VAT and import duty and I paid for the MOT. Now they want to take them off the road completely, it's absurd."

He added: "We've all been tarnished with the same brush – that we're all drug dealers and criminals. I'm not saying there aren't a few rogue operators out there but most us just want to make a legal living. We want to be regulated and licensed but we just keep getting told our vehicles don't comply. If we don't start fighting for this industry it will disappear altogether

Who goes in to business spending £500,000 in two years on his fleet of seven cars that don't meet the laws of the land, is he stupid or is he just greedy.

This is the guy who has been taken to court 3 times and lost. I don't know him but from the tale of woe that has been on another forum from his missus, my opinion is that he is an out and out fool. One of the court cases was because he was given a pg9 for a defective tyre and he drove away to get it changed. He was trying to organise some protest in London without even contacting the police as required by law. I think he is a bit of a loose cannon and likely to do the limo trade more harm than good.

An interesting article, but more evidence that the powers that be have at last got their eyes on the bad guys.

Heard an interesting debate on Five Live today and Mr Bowling was well naffed off that at least 150 councils wont license stretch limos. Well Mr Bowling they also don't license tanks so what's your point?

But I believe the main issue isn't the fitness of the vehicles, more so the fitness of the drivers and the operators.

It seems this story, as with the others in the Times and Telegraph, followed a press release from the Local Gov Ass.

Let's home the civil servants do what they say they will and stop the bad guys, especially the Hummers.

What has been suggested by someone in the know is its the same improved steering gear ,which is needed to get a coif that gets taken off the one just past its coif and put on to the next one up for test...
but that does not surprize me

As Owner of Hummerzine , Your statement interests me. But dosent supprise me. Since we have obtained the coif certification we have had all sorts of allegations . All I can ask is that people look at it logically . The Coif Hummer is a High Profile and expensive project that has been closely monitored by VOSA , To put parts on and of ,especially key parts is a pretty dumb thing to do all to save a few quid.. ..

When these so called people in the know make these statements just see them for what they are and that they are not actually in the know.

www.hummerzine.co.uk welcomes anyone to visit our premisis where will will Gladly guide them trough the Hummerzine and see our stock of parts.

We offer the Hummer in 2 forms.
16 passenger COIF or 18 passenger 2001/85/EU From £99,995

who is the person in the know , ???????

Maybe you should try finding information for yourself instead of listening to gossip. Take Dan up on his offer and go for a tour of his workshop.
