Black-cab-maker LTI Vehicles in Holyhead Road, said it will need to make cuts and has earmarked 40 jobs to go - 21 in production and 19 staff.
Workers at LTI will find out their fate on July 14 when the consultation period with unions ends.
THE manufacturer of the iconic black cab in Coventry celebrated its 60th anniversary last month.
The company employs about 250 people at its Holyhead Road base and a further 150 at dealerships across the UK.
