How many councils actually insist on PCO type approval nowadays.
I think that once the TX is being produced in China, LTI will close there plant here, so that those councils that still insist on it may well decide to come into the real world and scrap the turning circle requirement.
Then owners will be able to decide what type of WAV they want, there could be a big increase in Diablo sales coming up :wink:

I think you will find a hydrogen fuel powered version on the cards soon. It's all going to be dependant on the mileage, 200 or more I'll be thinking hard about it.

I have just read tonight's News and guess what....... Three rickshaws working for the Yang Sing hotel in Manchester are tootling around the city giving free rides. I thought that this practice was under the Hire and Reward legislation and the vehicle had to be licenced as PH. No such thing as a free lunch. Luckily for us we have the caped crusader to sort this out on his own turf. Or possibly not. Ged

The rickshaws are not licensed and nor will they be and neither do they carry passengers for hire or reward. However thanks to TDO we all know the legalities surrounding hire or reward and if the circumstances fit, then it could be construed that the Rickshaw service is in connection with the restaurants business? However it is early days yet and as far as I'm aware the vehicles have only been on display and not used. We shall see what transpires and if it is the case that these Rickshaws are being used in the course of running a business then it will be interesting to see what is done about it. Considering enforcement in Manchester is practically invisible then I don't expect much movement on the issue, one way or the other. Regards JD
