It has been brought to our attention that Taylor and Thomson are up to their old tricks again - LYING TO THE AUTHORITIES!

Apparently Taylor was involved in a minor argument with another driver and chose to record the altercation (without the knowledge or consent of the other driver). He later played the recording to Thomson who agreed to state, if required, that he was on the phone to Taylor at the time and heard the un-named driver threaten Taylor. (I think that most of the taxi trade would threaten this little weasel given half a chance).

So Taylor has made a complaint to the police about being threatened using Thomson as his witness. Now we all remember the Kevin Young incident where big brave Thomson PUNCHED another driver and has since tried to belittle Mr Young for reporting such a 'trivial' matter. Yet here he seems to take a different stance when he thinks he can make something out of it.

Well I hope the authorities follow this up and they will be provided with proof absolute that both Jim Taylor and Gary Thomson are LIARS. They are lying about this incident just as they have lied about many things in their failing campaign for de-restriction.

Can't say I've noticed these terrible conditions you keep talking about in Edinburgh Skull, so could you back up your claims of drivers leaving in droves with some figures please.

I think it's much the same as it has been over the last few years, some of this is attributable to the mass hysteria currently sweeping the land, if they think this is bad they obviously either never lived in this Country over the last few decades or enjoyed a special privileged, cosseted lifestyle.

Life goes on for most people, I would imagine that most people are probably better of now than they were, say in the 1970's,1980's or the 1990's.

They worry about inflation at 4or5%, I remember it hitting 24% in 1975,the 4-fold price rise for oil,the miners strike the 3 day week etc, life went on though, everyone I knew survived it, ditto for the other turbulent times that unfolded in the decades that have followed.

No point in joining the myriad of vacillating Politicians with their haughty high handed attitude towards us, voting just encourages them!

Try and get it into your thick head Alan G. There's an old saying: a loss in profit may be terminal but a breakdown in cash flow is fatal. If you lose £20 a shift for five shifts = £100 a week. If the cost of living rises by £20 a day for five days = £100 a week. Four weeks at £200 a week = £800 a month. You are down nearly a whole weeks income - Cash Flow What does this mean? It means your vehicle is no longer on the road or you're looking to sell. Now tell me again about £50,000 plate values? You have got to be having a laugh. Now back to Mr. Doeball me thinks he's wanting out before the crash. Now who gets the blame ?:shock: I wonder? Some guys are walking a tightrope. . . . .

This is for those responsible for the web page: http://www.edinburghtaxidriver.info/ A formal complaint is now in the hands of the council and the Cab Inspector. Threats of any kind can and will be seen as an attempt to influence the outcome of the coming court case. Jim Taylor has done nothing more than exercise his rights i.e. his right to speak freely and his right to a fair trial. These inalienable rights belong to everyone in this so called, Democratic Country. You guys have fecked up big time. This is no "minor argument". This is about a man's home and family being threatened simply because he holds a different opinion to yours. Your man Hugh, is in the frame and so is the owner and author of that web page. As you can see from the above this is a little more serious than a "minor argument". Here's a little education for you numpties. Taboo: You don't feck with the Crown or the Establishment - think, the Great Train Robbers. The royal crest, it's a no, no. They will throw away the key. Or the Political Process - you can do or say anything you like as long as it's within the processes laid down by parliament - that's the rules. Oh and last but not least, you don't feck with the process of law. This comes under threats of violence against someone putting his case before a Sheriff. Some would claim attempting to pervert the course of Justice and ones right to a fair trial. You lot are fecking mental Oh and btw, we didn't have to lie.
