does anyone know or is it a rank rumour that Mr Tom Browne has gone the whole hog, "going for gold" has lodged an appeal against the 8 years age of vehicles and emmissions,

reports from drivers saying Council has told them that older vehicles can go for this years test whilst the appeal is on

any truth????????????

I dont think anyone knows whats happening with the ruling yet.....have the council met since?

Are they appealing to a higher court?

Is the judgement just for Mr Browne?

Is the policy going to change to an alternative 'upon replacement' one?

Is York going to look at licensing numbers again?

anyone with a vehicle for taxi test that is not euro3 can have their vehicles tested now , a meeting was held today by the licensing department with their legal beagle, a meeting with the council cabinet is expected in May to discuss this, the case is expected to be around November

Mr Tom Browne has put an appeal in re euro3

you can now have your old vehicle tested, but, however, in November you will be told to take the vehicle off if the council win, [in November] thats from the taxi licence department
