Police plea on armed taxi robbery

Police have appealed for witnesses after a taxi driver threatened with a "bladed weapon" was robbed in Aberdeen.

The 31-year-old man was robbed of money in the Wilkie Avenue area just after midnight.

He was in a black Vauxhall Vectra when he was approached by three men, one of whom brandished the weapon.

The armed suspect was described as in his early 20s, 5ft 10in tall, with a Liverpudlian accent. He was wearing a beige hooded top.
