Actually it was. It's their job to look after UK interests.

They do all of these already, and they do them cheaper than the UK could ever hope to.
Why would they want to trade with you? The UK has little to bring to the table.

Sadly true, but maybe instead of buying Ningkumnese Electricals or Tojo motors we could start building something of similar quality here in Britain, but alas, I fear we have lost all our Industrial skills for ever.

These skills were sacrificed on the alter of capitalism. Big business wanted it cheaper and that's what they got.
It's Tory mantra, and mugs like you voted for it. No point crying about it now. #-o

Manuel Barosso....He said We would not be given automatic membership.

And if we Eck want's even the teansiest hope in hells chance of getting Independence he would be wise to promise to give the good people of Scotland a Vote on whether they actually wanted to rejoin a much Discredited and Disliked EU at all.

Peoples from all part's of the UK are wanting an EU referndum, it would be wrong and foolish of wee Eck to deny us Scots one as well, more so as he will need to apply for Membership of the EU if (God Forbid) Scotland became independent.

Capitalism has no direct bearing on production, nor does it affect the cheapness of goods, It is about creating wealth through private ownership and private enterprise. If what you say were right Gus then we would have no Inflation due to the ever lower cheapness of goods bought.

Besides, anyone that is Self Employed is a capitalist to some extent and that Includes you I'd Guess, Unless your Living as a Closet Communist and running your comrade countrymen about for the Price of a Cabbage and a couple of potatoes!

You guys are all wanting to make money, yet you do not embrace capitalist ideals. so just what are you if you seek profit through self employment if not a Capitalist.

Here's the Definition of Capitalism:

An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market.

You are just Kidding yourselves if you think your anything else other than a Capitalist living in a Capitalist society.

Your Certainly not Communists and your hardly Economic democrats. Even if your an employee you are stilling selling yourself or your skill for a profit.

So Please, before you let your fingers near your keyboard try putting your brain into gear.

What affects the Cheapness of goods is due more to the buyer than the seller...the seller would obviously like as much profit as is possible, but then they are only at the mercy of what the buyer thinks those goods are actually worth, hence it's the free Market which dictates cheapness not the capitalist ideal.
