I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. He also said "The end of democracy and the defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of the lending institutions and moneyed incorporations" which seems quite apt at the moment :wink:

It also explains that the economy needs the poor to take out loans and pay interest - this interest pays those who have lots of money and in turn collect interest on that money.........in other words the poor pay for the rich to get richer. :sad: and the entire system revolves around that principle.
