He was arrested and charged at the time - I posted the image to perhaps point out its not only muslims that may have caused the vandalism to the memorials in my original post.

Bomber Command memorial vandalised in London

The Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park, London has been vandalised.

At 5am this morning police discovered the memorial had been defaced.

The word ‘Islam’ had been spray painted on the memorial and inscriptions had been struck out.

Police are investigating this act of vandalism but no arrests have been made.

The memorial was unveiled by the Queen on June 28 2012 attended by veterans from Britain and the Commonwealth.

It is dedicated to the 55,573 young airmen who lost their lives in the Second World War.

25,000 men from Lincolnshire air bases did not return from battle and the memoiral honours their sacrifice.

The nine feet bronze sculpture of a seven man air crew bore the inscription 'We remember those of all countries who died in 39-45”, a gesture of reconciliation towards German cities which had been subjected to firestorms in raids during the conflict.

A Lancaster bomber dropped red poppies during a fly-past on those gathered below during the ceremony.

The Animals War Memorial has also been defaced by vandals with spray paint.

It stands as a memorial to the countless animals that have served and died under British military command throughout history.

There's a huge difference between having strong or even extreme political beliefs depending on the circumstances you find yourself in. And believing that some supernatural being, is telling you to kill the infidel.

Let me put it this way, a negotiated settlement of some kind is on the cards when it comes to politics, under most circumstances. However, there is no talking to people who read only one book and believe they are getting their orders from the big juju in the sky.

A Pissed up student who was paraded on TV and bollocked to high heaven by his parents and his University versus Islamic nut cases carrying knives and meat cleavers who want to kill people who have took them in. There's no contest really mate.

I don't think it does anything to create a balance between the two articles. That's for sure. Pi**ed up student vs Islamic extremism seems to be a bit of a stretch.

I think the point was about the word "Islam" daubed on the bomber command memorial, and the student with his dick out pi$$ing on the war memorial, both being disrespectful.

Do we actually know the graffiti was done by Islamic extremists or even anyone Islamic? No, we don't.
It could just as easily have been one of Nidge's right wing mates, looking to stir the shite.

But that's the beauty of mob rule. You can lynch people first and worry about their guilt later.
