He'd get my vote if he brought them back into UK only ownership. The problems started when foreign investment came in.

The same will happen with Royal Mail, everything in the garden will be rosy until the foreign investment starts to roll in, that's when the prices will rise.

The problem started when somebody sold them off to money grabbing scumbags. Their only interest is screwing as much out of the consumer as they can.
Nationality is irrelevant, greed has no boundaries.

Millibland as you call him, might be a tad embarrassed at the thought of nationalising the power industry..

A Barrister (she don't make coffee) called Justine Thornton advised EDF on the Hinkley Point Nuclear power station deal.

Ms. Thornton is also known as Mrs Ed Milliband.

The "strike price" of £92.50 per megawatt hour agreed will increase bills.

Wondered why "Dick" Ed was rather quiet about the deal.

I disagree UK owned companies are generally more minded to restrain themselves in the UK market than foreign owned after all protesters aren't going to turn up at the AGM of EDF but they might at the AGM of say BNFL and there's nothing those frenchies like to do more than screw over the Brits !

Shock/horror, I agree!
As long as we don't see a return to the way they were run in the 60's/70's.
