Given that most councils elections are only for a third of their members that really shouldn’t be a surprise.

Farage is a happy man, and for good reasons.

with about half the results now in, there are a lot of councils with no overall control but where if labour and the greens work together they do so I suspect the greens will have a lot of influence now.

Having lived through the SNP-Green unholy alliance up here, you really don't want the Greens having influence.

Reform should be happy enough - 15 MSPs through the list system. Looks like they've gained the most this time.

The old Greens were an absolute disaster when in power down here.

The new lefty, drug happy, open borders, tit enlarging Green Party is on a different level.

Apparently so - this one crowdfunding for a work visa:

I see Reform ended up joint second - 17 MSPs after the late results.

Can't really see Swinney going back to a formal pact like the Bute House agreement - although needs must.

He can try to ignore it, but SNP lost ground and those 17 Reform MSPs are in.

I suspect, and maybe they might not acknowledge it publicly, that Reform are delighted about that.

Yes, it gives them a grievance card to play and less to do while their MSPs are inexperienced. Almost a win-win.

The results were almost exactly as predicted,

Labour lost control of 40 English councils including some who had always been Labour controlled

Reform gained control of 14

Labour lost 1498 council seats Reform won 1458

Labour lost control of a country (Wales) ended up 3rd behind Reform

If thats a poor result, im the next Pope

Tomorows PMQs will be worth watching

Regarding our 2 neighbouring tourist spots (Wales and Scotland)

How is it that each has its own Parliament with MPs but also have a seat at the big table with us English, if the Scots vote to leavt the UK will the Scottish MPs be out of a job?

all 57 of them, 36 are Labour......
