J.D. .....This week he told me that it was Manchesters intention to release the 82 plates and the 40, but you will have to see if they do or have, sussex will be happy if they do,now can you answer the question..mrT..

It was negotiated to introduce the 82 plates over three years, I am not aware that decision has been changed.

J.D It must change. you have a survey each year, this year you got 82 more on top of the 40 or is it 20 ,if you have a 40000k plate next year maybe 80 more....mrT..

I think they should just de-limit, and then all this messing around will be a thing of the past. :D

A whole six posts Skippy, well done.  I take it you must be one of the just about to lose my plate value brigade.

Lots of meats on the bone with that one Skippy and if you’re other posts are anything to go by I won’t have much to worry about.

JD, how much will it affect your plate value?

The increase in numbers will undoubtedly have some effect on plate values but the present increase of 82 has already been taken into account. The effect the 82 additional plates had over and above the yearly increase was to reduce the plate value from 50K to 45K. Plates that are restricted will always have a value but just how much that value will fluctuate is unknown.

I hope that answers your question.

Regards

JD

I understand from speaking to my colleagues in Trafford last night that they might be heading for deregulation of numbers. The latest news coming from that quarter is that Trafford expect to lose the court case later this month and if that is the case they may well remove quantity controls.

If you live in Trafford area you better apply for a license now just in case they do lose but decide to defer future applicants, until such time as they have had a survey?

Not that much of a surprise really, the last survey was flawed and included data from non-existant people, and the council still haven't got around to answering Rupert's questions that he posed last year.

Without doubt a 'head in the sand' council if ever there was one. [-X
