So this tells me that even a slow managed release of plates is not suitable to you. Im not sure that the council could justify making everybody have wheelchair cabs until the other legislation comes in 2012(I stand to be corrected on this!?!?!?!)
My view is that the local council should be in control of the situation and it should not be left to the whims of others!

And the local council implements them.

It's a while since we've had an idiot troublemaking and lying, at least it livens things up a bit. :lol:

I'm still not sure if he come on with good intentions and perhaps thought that because his arguments are usually uncritically accepted then he could come on here and sort us out and be hailed as a hero by the likes of Mr T, but then lost it when he realised it wouldn't be such an easy ride, or if he just come on to tell lies and cause trouble anyway from the start.

But I suspect the latter now, particularly given the PM he sent me.

Of course, Mr T and his ilk will still hail him a hero, but that says it all

Now if your council decided that standards are better than quotas, then surely you would have nothing to fear.

Mr Cummins seriously failed to recognise his own short Cummins in his ability to interpret case law. Hence the rude awakening of the Wirral judgement, It would also appear that Thanet haven't learned anything from the Wirral judgement either. Perhaps you have some pearls of wisdom for the Thanet Taxi trade, especially since you believe "that councils should be in control of the situation and it should not be left to the whims of others". dont worry guys, luckily for the trade people like us "anti de regulationists" exist, i think we know our market better than a bunch of guys who are not even taxi drivers whining on about how it is unfair that such and such area is restricted, and that so and so's plate values are £x many pounds, and that surveys are biased, blah blah blah. you guys should get a reality check, the local drivers in the areas know best, if a city only has space for 80 cabs, what is the point in issuing another 50 licences?? do the maths and use your brains.
