Since April 2008 GMB members in Bracknell have been campaigning to re-introduce limitation.

Last night at the Licensing & Safety Committee meeting all councillors voted to introduce limitation with immediate effect.

The issue will be subject to further debate at the next committee meeting in March 2010.

Well done to all concerned,it is victories like this that prove the effectiveness of banding together.Amazingly it would seem that some amongst us are prepared to scoff and play down the fact that despite this success, many Councils are still not prepared to listen to the local drivers who face extreme hardship do to oversubscription of plates in the area.

Congratulations to the Bracknell drivers and the GMBpdb southern region for pushing through this reversal in the councils decision.Perhaps other associations in adjoining councils may wish to achieve the same success,

Why is it that only thing that concerns others about limited areas is whether or not there are 'barons'. The same people who rent out vehicles in a limited area will be the ones who rent out vehicles in a delimited area.

You don't hear people complaining because they have to rent premises so they can run a business
