Anyone read the article in todays Sun 31-12-04 regarding girls getting into any cars after a night out. London, Glasgow and Manchester mentioned and guess what, the public (who the hell are public.passengers, customers to tell anyone what they should do???? :D ) say there are not enough taxi's. Perhaps those in the area's mentioned might like to cut the article out ready for the councils next meeeting regarding unmet demand.
Do we really want to give the public what they want??? after all if we do we might actually make some money instead of just a living and maybe even have a home life :D , phew that would never do eusasmiles.zip , would it ????

You mention a few points here, the main area is perhaps London, which is unlimited, anyone who can pass the knowledge of London can drive taxis there, and theres an unmet demand.

In Delimited areas tonight, there will be an unmet demand.

In regulated areas there will be an unmet demand.

Every PH company in the country will be more than likely knocking back work, signifying an unmet demand for PH.

Do you see where I'm coming from here?

regards

Captain cab

I bet they've been knocking work back for the last week. It was New Years Eve FFS, mind you it was just like a normal Friday night in Mansfield, the Nightclubs were charging £20 to get in the pubs were charging £2, many people said sod it and stopped local.

One would have thought there would be unmet demand but that didn't materialise in Manchester. Plenty of people about but no one getting cabs.

Takings wise, it was the worst New Years eve I've ever experienced.

Best wishes

I was busy most of the night, did 1 pub job and not met a drunk over the festive season.

lots of calls were from homes, but did not hit last years total finish

there is a major demographic change, with the population tilting its ballance towards the older end.

we see it everywhere, after the disaster in asia will call centres come back here?
