Is it me or is the number of councils on this list actually growing from year to year? Of course the TDO membership can't tell because the list is updated periodically instead of a new list being posted with the old lists remaining on the Forum so that members can compare numbers with previous years. But I'm pretty sure I'm right that the number of councils that restrict taxi numbers is growing. And that's democracy; councils choosing to do what's best for the licensing area that they are responsible for in local government. |

Since the last update in June/July two councils have restricted, or re-restricted, and one has delimited. Although Coventry's delimit is only for a year. At that rate it would take about 35 years for the situation to get back to how it was pre OFT. Thank f*** the T&G KO'd it.
