It was the LO who proposed the 150 mile limit, the council just rubber-stamped what the LO suggested. That is normal procedure when you have councillors who haven't got a clue about their portfolio. It should also be remembered that Kings Lynn had extensive consultations with both sides of the Trade, many of the recommendations may well be a bi-product of these consultations. The 150 mile usage policy is unreasonable and inflexible, I'm sure the courts would veto it.
We shall have to wait and see what transpires when they have the survey.
