As Wolvo get slagged off so much, check YOUR update/DBS and see how/who has checked YOUR own DBS in the last 2 years

Wolvo licensing have checked mine 520 times

I would hardly call that a sensible use of resources, even if it is a bot doing the checking.

One of our drivers called me a few months ago panicking that the DBS service were cancelling his online updates because of lack of use, apparently the council hadn’t checked his in 18 months. #-o

Do they have to check or is the requirement that the DBS people inform the council of any updates?

:-k

The onus is on the council, ours are supposed check them at least every six months. Unless it’s a serious offence (or the police haven’t done their job by informing the council) all that will show up on the online update is a status change. The driver will then have to apply to the DBS for a new certificate and explain to the council why he/she/them( :-# ) didn’t inform them.

To maintain high safeguarding and safety standards, the council is spending the cash on a system which checks every driver’s DBS certificate status every day.
