So we can all see how much the UK councils are charging please post your licence fee's here and the price of a drivers badge and how long they run for, and any other charges

I will start with the Scottish Borders

Operators licence £170, this includes taxi test, drivers badge £75 1 year, plate deposit £25
CRB £36 one off
Vehicle Substitution £70

pity the taxi monthly dont do a spreadsheet of the different costs and print it like they do for meter rates

True.....but maybe those areas with less licensed vehicles should pay more than those with lots :shock:

so somewhere like (say) Eigg with maybe 2 PH or HC plated vehicles should be charging £10K a year then?

erm.......

i think the councils who have realised the plating game is a nic earner will just milk it

Yep that'll do for me.....I want skippys fee's increased :lol:

and errm.....the LA that sees the licensing department as a nice little earner will have an uphill battle against caselaw.

the cases dont get too widely publicised......theres been a few across in the North East......Darlington is one in particular.....if you look at the attached link....see how thorough they are now after a challenge;
