I have stated in a previous thread about Flintshires large Licensing bill, it was over £870 all in. Powys would be £130 average per year + medical/compliance/meter/top sign/crb another £430 = £560. The following year it would be a more managable £200 as I would of already bought the new meter and top sign.

What I was trying to establish was where you intended to work.....Powys or Flintshire?

I contacted Powys CC Licensing & they said I could have a HC without a Knowledge test-no problem £100/3 year badge £100/1 yr plate + crb etc. I then told the officer my address; [Flintshire] and could I still get licensed with them? Answer …NO!

The LO has no idea, alas a common occurrence.

If I was you I would join a national union/association and get them to take that up for you.

I know of one that would love the challenge.

I thank you for the offer but I would have to go to Welshpool to get licensed but its not worth the hassle. By the time I got them to chage their minds They would probably bring in a local knowledge test just to pi** me off.

Are you of no fixed abode??

Do you intend to work in the area that you are eventually licensed in?

We are awaiting the outcome of the Wrexham case for clarification.

Wasn't the Wrexham case dropped due to lack of funds?

Not sure Captain, seems to have gone very quiet. Me thinks they were on to get a good hiding in court[Wrexham Council] so they have quietly let it go. Somebody in their legal department has told them that they are not responsible for the law making in Britain and the Government is.

wont be soon, now the Irish have voted yes for the treaty
