Why have LTI appealed all they are doing is waisting money they don't have, its already been proven there cabs don't meet European disability laws

Which disability laws are those then Skippy?

The one that says that disabled wheelchair users should be able to travel in comfort and in the correct manor, and properly secured into a vehicle,
LTI have already stated there cabs cannot carry a full sized wheelchair, and this was pointed out in the Liverpool case.
There is also that other problem they have, the European competition trading laws

The one you made up you mean

Nice to see your concern about wheelchair bound passengers doesnt actually extend to the point of getting an E7 Van yourself.

The PCO is a law unto itself and certainly believes it has absolute power to block the licensing of other cabs. In fact its hard to judge what power they really do have and how much of it is hot air.

IMO you will never see the E7 used as a taxi in London because too many are already in use as PH .

Which is the correct manor Mr Skippy41?

Would that be your manor or my manor or another manor, perhaps the Captain's?

LTI have appealed the court case of Liverpool City Council and the E7

Can LTI do that?
As the judgement was against Liverpool, wouldn't Liverpool have to be the appellant?

I'm pretty sure the case hasn't been appealed. What LTI have done is pick fault with the committee report, thus the committee has asked for a new report.

I will be amazed if the E7 isn't allowed to be licensed as a Liverpool cab within months.

I believe LTI have objected to Liverpool allowing the E7 because Liverpool have formally adopted the Metropolitan conditions of fitness. It would be unlawfull for Liverpool to pass anything whilst still in that position. The LTI tatic is a stalling procedure to allow them to rush out the TX 5. I think you will see a new LTI before January. Liverpool meanwhile will have to retire from the earlier conditions of fitness, a process which needs ratifying by a meeting of full council. That will take until January.

If they went back to a Japanese engine, they'd be back in play for my money next year.

Maybe. :?

You are right The London taxi blogs are talking Nissan engine and 6 inches more space on the passenger floor. The last critic of the TX4 by the depac groups was that the TX 4 was several inches short for turning wheelchairs. Thats why I believe the gossip on the London blogs. But hold your breath it is only a month away (allegedly)

Apparantly she tried, but was blinded by big yellow numbers all over the side of the car.
