Wrong again 187ums, We up here in Edinburgh and my brothers down south are in the minority, as you have already pointed out. That makes me and others like me the exception, not the rule.

Need I remind you that you bought into the illusion we didn't.#-o

Do try and keep up there's a good chap.

umm no, maybe you should try to get it through your "thick skull" that the price I have paid for my plate equates to what could be an entry requirement if the market was deregulated.

So instead of making some owner fat and then crying about how unfair it all is, maybe you should " do the maths " as they say........

so basically even if dereg does come about and the market gets flooded as it undoubtedly will, I will be ok, whereeas you will still have to find the money to pay for the entry requirement.

But knowing you, you will then campaign for any vehicle, as you will deem it unfair that you have to buy a TX2 type.

And we will all be back to square one!

In our respective areas, then maybe, but one has to remember that in the UK's trade as a whole, we are the majority.

JD's list does not lie.

I know we are in the majority but how many actually stick their head above the parapet?

Who are you trying to kid 187ums, you are getting all bent out of shape because you thought you had ascended to the dizzy height’s of taxi owner.

“Look at me I’m a man of substance did I tell you how much my plate is worth?”

Well look at it this way you nearly made, it at least in your own head.

Not nearly enough, but every little helps.

The folks that really p*** me off over this issue are the members of the London cab trade that support the likes of the T&G/NTA over quotas.

The ignorant supporting the foolish. :-$

Do you really believe that JD's lists do not lie? You poor deluded fool.

Go to When will we get an answer on the COF?

Where JD has no answer on when the 25ft turning circle was introduced, he "makes it up" shall we say.

So what else has he "made up" that the gullible accept as gospel?

"The 25ft turning circle" you have got to be having a laugh, not this old chestnut.

Yes I do.

But if you can point out any errors on them, then I'm pretty sure JD will amend it.

But I bet you can't.

Bet I can.

When JD claims, (when will we see an answer on COF) he baldly claims that austin introduced the turning circle in 1956. I informed him that the PCO made it a condition in 1906. He claimed to have called the PCO, and they did not have the answer. So, where did he get the "information that austin introduced it in 1956, therefore, the vehicle changed the COF.

Was he "misinformed" or was it a case of not letting the truth get in the way of a good story?

It's touching the way the gullible will slavishly hang on to every word uttered by JD, but I think this point needs clarifying.

So, JD, did you make it up, or were you missinformed? Are there weapons of mass disinformation in your office?

I think you are getting me confused. Image

When I'm referring to JD's list I'm on about his de-limit list, and that bugger is 100% pukka, else the dinos would be pouring scorn on it.

And the bit about plates in Lincoln be worth an estimated tens of thousands of pounds was accurate? Scorn scorn scorn, being ladled on by a dino. He doesn't like the truth to get in the way of a good story. Is he a Journo? Or maybe a Lawyer?

Well possibly because your manor doesn't even make his list of plate values.
