You seem to confusing three separate things here Jimbo - JD's list of restricted councils, the turning circle issue, and the Lincoln story which was purely my responsibility.
If what you say re the plate values in Lincoln is correct then it certainly seems at variance with taxi numbers vis-a-vis population, private hire numbers etc., but the value posited by myself was not presented as incontrovertible fact.
But since you say no one in Lincoln wants a taxi plate yet at the same time seem to be getting very excited about the mere mention of derestriction, then I'm inclined to take what you say with a pinch of salt.
Have you got a copy of the Lincoln survey that you could send, or is it on the LA's website?
