I think he's telling you off for using the ampersand character.

Now before you all come back at me with questions & queries, please note that I don't know how long I will be able to continue at the computer tonight, because I am excessively tired as I went to Bristol too late last night & I need my beauty sleep. I will answer what I can & debate for as long as I can, but if I suddenly disappear, remember ..... I am not ignoring you & will answer your queries tomorrow or whenever I am next logged on.

So they got what they wanted, with extra conditions (which are?) and it cost them (how much?).

Overall that is not a good result for the HC trade is it :?

The council came to a democratic decision that was in keeping with the law.

The agenda is blank.

The extra conditions are as posted previously, 4th October I think, on this thread.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. I expect an avalanche of similar applications x&x + also I expect it to go countrywide within the next few years.

Which I believe ..... "Listen Very Carefully, I Shall Say This Only Once" ..... is the best thing that can happen in the long term.

I am, and I suspect a great number, perhaps the majority of HC and PH drivers are, absolutely sick to the back teeth with this HC v PH, plying for hire, not plying for hire, over-ranking, touting, taxi wars, one tier system, two tier system, this licence allows you to do this but not that, that licence allows you to do that but not this and I believe it's high time that we had a big 'expolsion' in this 'taxi' trade and the sooner the better.

The politicians need to sort this mess out with new legislation that has been properly thought through, not just to accommodate HC, but all drivers in this field, including the questions of limos, self drive hire, rickshaws, etc., etc.

It ain't working in Brum, Timbuktoo or Fairyland. And I believe that if this idea goes nationwide, the temperature will get really hot vary quickly & politicians will take note. I want as much chaos as is humanly possible, so that things change. If that means one-tier, so be it.

I believe it's time that the legislation governing HC, PC & all other forms of hire vehicles, N, S, E & W of that should be re-written.

FFS the DDA 1995 is about to be repealed & replaced by the Equality Act 2009, after only 14 years, but we have to suffer being regulated by an Act designed to control hiring horse & buggy transport from nearly 200 years ago?

They're taking the p*ss, those politicians.

I had no doubt that the licence would be approved.
