Post subject:  Example/Template of a Tax Return

Hi All

I have in the past used an accountancy firm to sort out my tax returns. They have been very efficient, but costly. I have now cut down my hours worked as a driver therefore have decided to do my own tax returns.

Has anyone any advice?

Plus it would be a great help if someone would be kind enough to give me an example tax returm. I have rang the local office, but obviously the lady was unable to list all the expenses I can claim against. Therefore even a list would be a great help.

I did ring the accountancy firm, and they refused to give me a copy. Therefore after a brief argument I will not be using them again.

Thanks in advance

Did you try asking HMRC for a copy of your previous returns?

Didn't your accountant give you a copy of your last return to sign before he submitted it to HMRC?

As well as HMRC, a Google search may reveal on-line resources that you could adapt.

Everyone has their own preferences for what information they record and how. You may find some templates in your Windows software.

If you haven't already done this years for paper before 31.10 then you have to do it online anyway and it's all there www.hmrc.gov.uk/sa/
