Just wanted to ask a quick question with regards to private jobs. For example say someone had given my number to take someone to the aiport on a private job, is this possible? Would you have to have entirely seperate insurance and car or just insurance that covers this and no markings on the vehicle (plates removed etc?) Many thanks:) Ash |

Many thanks:) Ash You can take who you want where you want if your vehicles Insured..but if you start charging for it then you need to be plated or licenced to do so..if you do runs for hire and reward and dont obey the rules of the land..well...I hope you swing upside down by your testicles from a wrought iron fence and that the resulting wounds are infested by a 1000 chook eating maggots...

As long as you have a PH operator's license from the same council that license you and your PH motor you can take anyone to anywhere at any time. |

when ash says a "private job" he probably means hes plated but on a circuit, probably the base has the ops licence, and the job has come to him direct. |

If you don't have an operator's licence, as opposed to a driver's badge or vehicle plate, then you can't take 'private work.' |

Ahhh I see. It's quite cheap to get an operators licence in that case. Well, I say quite cheap, over £100. So providing I have an Operators licence and the correct insurance I can do airport drops in my plated vehicle (which is plated up to normal operator) |

That's right. I was waiting at a taxi rank hoping to pick up some people after the hackneys when I got a phone call. *runs*. That was a joke by the way

I dont think you can have your own ops licence AND run on a base/circuit ops licence, its one or the other. |
