Hi Ladies/Gents
As you maybe aware our London Mayor under his transport policy and the reducition of emissions from taxis is going to place an age restriction on London Cabs. There was a case which reach the House of Lords which a cab garage won on appeal concerning a LA placing an year restriction on a fleet of cabs.

Would those of us with knowledge of 60/70s could point us in the right direction i.e. name of petioner/defendant, which High Court case started its process.
THis would save us a lot of study when we make a trip to House of Lords Libruary in two weeks.

Boris does not have to set an age limit to achieve his aim for less polluting cabs, but if he has set a rigid age limit, then he may well come unstuck.

All he has to do is set a CoF that all cabs in the capital will be Euro 4 or Euro 5 compliant by the year 2015 or whatever & he's done it.

And I think this will come into many LAs in the next few years.
