our council say that know one as the right to ask the concil to consider a fare increase

any one can gives us a view on this

So how has it been done in the past?

Does the council just guess a fare, and leave it at that? :?

i'm told we have a very good formula that allows an increase each year in line with costs.
but costs went up this year but fares didnt. so work that one out. :?

It states in PHM that you had an increase in September last year. Do you have an Annual review? Who asked for last years increase? If the Council refuse a reasonable request you could probably apply to the Magistrates Court for a ruling, but as you had an increase eight months ago, they may have good reason to refuse.
If you don't have an annual review, then GET one. If you don't have a regular review, no wonder you are 255 in the league table.

persuaded the Council to accept a fare formula (based on 4 National inflation indices) that would be used every year to determine by what amount fares should increase. This year the formula produced a figure of + 5.6%
