Post subject:  Not impressed with LPH reps

Just had a quick peep at the LPHCA site, and reading this post from the bosses firm association, leads me to believe they just don't like standards, and would welcome a weakening of the very basic standards they currently have to adhere too. [-X

Sorry Mr LPHCA your mob have got it wrong. The reason why many drivers haven't licensed is all too clear, they were thugs and cheats.

All those that really care about the taxi/PH trade should celebrate that they are no-longer in it, not belly-ache about it.

Yes, it's the good old operators v drivers again - I suspect most drivers are quite happy with the new arrangements. He singles out the medical requirments, for example, I wonder what aspect of that is weeding out so many drivers?

It's not the drivers (licensed version) that want to make it easier for drivers to enter the LPH trade. It's the firm's owners.

They say they can't get enough drivers, which is rubbish. If they all paid a decent rate for the job, then they wouldn't have any problems filling their cars.

Not all firms have driver shortages, the ones paying good rates (Ollie's firm is a good one :D ) don't have any problems covering the work.

Steve Wright MBE, one man trade union rep of the Minicab trade?

I've invited him over for a discussion, but he's too busy improving Ollies conditions?
