Station Taxi's employed a man who was on the sick and claiming disability allowance and everything else he could get his greedy paws on, he was such a detestable person that someone informed the authorities, now he has been rumbled and looks like being in big trouble, Station taxis think they are in the clear as they made the cheques out for his wages in his wifes name, surely they condoned his employement and by paying his wife have admitted they were part of the fraud. |

Is it not the case that an unemployed person can work up to 16 hours a week or thereabouts and still claim benefit? The company may have known he was unemployed but it might not be as cut and dried as some may think? Do we really know enough of the facts to form a judgement? Regards JD |

Regards JD[/quote] The company know all about him as he used to be a shareholder and if he was entitled to work 16 hours a week then why did they make out his payment cheques in his wifes name. |

I don't know the answer to that question and when you don't know the answers it is sometimes wise to say nothing until you do? That is not a cue to stiffle debate on the subject, it's just my way of saying the jury's out. Regards JD |
