If a mum pays a childminder, say £10 an hour, to look after her 6 and 2-year old children, and during that time the childminder take them out to play, or to school, or to a nursery in her own car, then after 01/01/08 will that become illegal under section 53 of the Road Safety Act 2006?
I think it will.

I take it the act views this as hire and reward?

The act repeals the bit in the 1976 act that allows folks to do 'hire and reward' work unlicensed.
