Post subject:  How did he pass his knowledge test ?
A new driver started in town yesterday needless to say ANOTHER peterborough PH driver moving across !

First off he approached a silver cabs driver and asked him where the bus station was ? On fridays the bus station is where the rank is because our normal rank is covered in market stalls !

On arriving at the bus station he started approaching other taxi drivers asking questions like Where is the train station ? Where is the taxi rank ?

One driver explained where the station was and i tried to explain to him about where in the bus station the rank is and how the cars rank up and where you are NOT allowed to sit

He then parked his car to the side of where the rank is and in the way of the buses I then had to go on jobs later that morning I spotted him sitting not at the rank but where I told him he MUST NOT park

First of all how on earth can you pass a knowledge test not knowing where either the bus station or train station are ? I know that the knowledge test for our area is not particularly difficult but drivers are supposed to get 15 out of 20 questions right ! it sounds to me as if this driver didn't know where anywhere is ! Or he got a relative who knew the area to take it for him

Secondly it is very annoying that these peterborough PH drivers move across and bring their two fingers to the rules attitude with them many of the drivers who got badges here did so after having their badges taken off them in Peterborough is it really right and proper that our council should take the attitude that they cannot refuse them the right to work ?

When you have LOs who clearly don't give a stuff about such things as customer service, you get LOs that don't give a stuff who gets a license. :sad:

Until L.Os are made accountable they will remain a law unto themselves.

However if a member of the public (Or a relative :roll: ) makes a complaint about they way that they conduct their office duties, then you might get something done about it.
